The Mr. Maligance skin for Mister Fantastic is a cosmetic outfit in Marvel Rivals that reimagines Reed Richards as a creepy, grinning figure. It arrived with Season 10.5: Butcher's Blasphemy and is purely visual, leaving his stretchy abilities unchanged. You can follow the creator behind the showcase on Twitter for more coverage.
What the Mr. Maligance skin looks like
The Mr. Maligance skin gives Mister Fantastic a twisted, unsettling appearance that stands out from his usual heroic look. The most striking feature is a wide, exaggerated grin that many players immediately link to the Joker, the Batman Who Laughs, or the Crooked Man from The Conjuring. The outfit keeps Reed's stretchy silhouette but adds a horror-themed edge, with dark tones and eerie details that fit the Butcher's Blasphemy season. In gameplay, the skin's effects and animations remain consistent with the base character, so you get the same elastic punches and grabs with a new coat of paint. The skin is purely cosmetic, so it won't change how Mister Fantastic plays or how powerful he is in a match.
How to get the Mr. Maligance skin
You can obtain the Mr. Maligance skin through Marvel Rivals' in-game store or as part of a bundle during Season 10.5. Like most skins, it can be purchased with units or via a special offer. Here's what to keep in mind:
- Check the in-game store under the Mister Fantastic section for a limited-time offer.
- Look for a bundle that includes the skin and possibly other cosmetics like sprays or nameplates.
- If you prefer, you can buy the skin individually with units.
- Keep an eye on events or challenges that might reward the skin for free.
Since the skin is part of Season 10.5, it may only be available for a limited time, so grab it while you can. There's no gameplay advantage to owning it, but it's a great way to stand out.
Mister Fantastic's abilities in Marvel Rivals
Mister Fantastic is a duelist with a unique stretchy moveset that lets him control space and disrupt enemies. His primary fire is a ranged punch that can be aimed precisely, and he can stretch his body to grab opponents and pull them toward him. He also has a defensive ability that lets him absorb damage and reflect it back. His ultimate ability, "Fantastic Four," summons the rest of the team for a coordinated attack. The Mr. Maligance skin doesn't change any of these abilities, so you can enjoy the new look without altering your playstyle. For more details on his full kit, check the in-game hero page.
Community reactions to the Mr. Maligance skin
